Deutscher Retriever Club e.V. The Witchess' kennel in Bad Arolsen is dedicated to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Retrievers have been part of the kennel’s everyday life for many years; initially, there were two Labrador females handled for hunting. Since 2020, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever female has lived in the pack, being used for hunting and accompanying her owner on horseback. The female is described as an even-tempered and reliable family dog and received her breeding approval in November 2022. Since October 2022, the kennel has had kennel protection from FCI and VDH. It is affiliated with Deutscher Retriever Club e.V. From the A-litter, a daughter of this female remained at the kennel as a young breeding female. Witchess' is thus continuing its own line of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. The kennel name Witchess' is intended for the offspring; the combination of hunting work and family life shapes the breeding approach.
