For the Flat-Coated Retriever, emphasis is placed on good working abilities, particularly for tracking wounded game and retrieving game birds. At the same time, work is being done towards harmonious conformation, so that the dogs are well suited to active work in nature and can perform the tasks the breed is known for. With the Miniature Schnauzer, the aim is to preserve the breed’s characteristic and beautiful appearance with a view to the show ring. The kennel also values its original function as a ratting and farm dog, as well as its good nose, which can be used for tracking work, including rabbit drags and blood tracking.
