Experience with breeding and shows was gained in the surroundings of the family’s long-standing Bernese Mountain Dog breeding program. Training as a veterinary assistant and work in a veterinary clinic deepened this knowledge; it was there that the enthusiasm for Chihuahuas arose. In 2014, the first Chihuahua female moved in; in 2015, membership in a Chihuahua club within the VDH/FCI followed. Since changing clubs in 2025, von Santoba has belonged to the Verband Deutscher Kleinhundezüchter e.V. The goal is healthy, balanced and strong-minded dogs. The puppies grow up in the house with the pack and become familiar early on with everyday sounds, car rides and their first outings. The rural surroundings near Marburg offer paths through fields and along the dam. After the puppies leave, the kennel supports the families with their upbringing and a harmonious life together.
