Schweizer Sennenhund-Verein für Deutschland e.V. The von der Mühlenbode dog breeding kennel in Tarthun has been dedicated to the Bernese Mountain Dog for more than three decades. The Berner-von-der-Mühlenbode kennel has existed since October 2015 and is based in the heart of Saxony-Anhalt. At its centre is a longstanding enthusiasm for this breed. The breeding programme follows the strict guidelines of the Schweizer Sennenhund-Verein für Deutschland e.V. The aim is to breed healthy, breed-typical and long-lived Bernese Mountain Dogs. In this way, the breeding programme combines the selection of dogs with a clear focus on characteristics that are essential to the breeding objective. Even after a puppy has been placed, the breeding programme wishes to maintain contact with the new families. Feedback on the dogs’ further development helps to support the breeding objectives over the long term and to understand their implementation. Insights into living together with the dogs complement the presentation of the breeding programme.
