The kennel von der Lawallsgass in Heusweiler is dedicated to the Old German Shepherd Dog. Since 1988, responsible rearing has been at the heart of its work. The focus is on healthy, robust, even-tempered and well-socialized dogs. Many years of experience in IPO sport as well as as a VDH judge contribute to the breeding goals. The Old German Shepherd Dog is valued here as a versatile dog. The animals are expected to prove themselves as family and sporting dogs just as much as in demanding tasks, for example as therapy or guide dogs for the blind. Successes at sporting events and shows are also among the desired qualities. As a rule, one to two litters are raised each year closely integrated into family life. The puppies live in the house and spend a great deal of time in the garden during the day. From the very beginning, they have contact with dogs of different age groups, allowing them to grow up in a lively social environment.
