Small Hovawart kennel in the RZV and VDH in the Oberweser region of northern Hesse, focusing on healthy, steady-nerved and eager-to-work dogs.

Anja and Jürgen run the “von der Hohen Breite” Hovawart kennel in the Oberweser region of North Hesse, in a rural setting with fields, forests and water nearby. The kennel belongs to the RZV and the VDH, and thus to the FCI; the breeding project began in November 2020 with the female Freya. The two came to the breed in 2010, when they were looking for a companion for activities on their horse farm. They breed healthy, even-tempered, strong-nerved and willing-to-work Hovawarts that can be both sports partners and family dogs. – Freya vom Wittegrund (“Fara”): spirited and strong-willed, with all the health examinations required for breeding approval When choosing the male, health and a friendly, balanced temperament are the main priorities. The dogs live in the house with a spacious garden; during their first eight weeks, the puppies are gently accustomed to various stimuli and environmental influences. They are looking for owners who learn about the breed, actively work with their dog and remain in contact after the puppy is handed over.
