The kennel von der grauen Stadt am Meer is run on a small, family basis in Horstedt on the North Sea. Its focus is on the Border Collie. The history of the kennel also includes Shelties and Collies; the kennel name at the same time refers to its proximity to the North Sea. The kennel has been active in the Club für Britische Hütehunde e.V. since 2010 and follows the VDH/FCI framework. Its development began with Shelties. Growing enthusiasm for Collies subsequently broadened the kennel’s focus. With the arrival of the first Collie bitch in 2023, this part of the breeding programme gained a concrete foundation. The family kennel thus combines its previous experience with a further step in its development.
