Deutscher Club für Berner Sennenhunde e.V. The von den Sandbären kennel is located in Bickenbach, in a house on the edge of the forest. Meadows and fields characterize the immediate surroundings. There has been a close connection to this place since 1972; after a few years in the Lautertal, Bickenbach once again became the center of life in 1996. In April 2002, the first Bernese Mountain Dog moved in. The family was particularly impressed by the friendly, family-oriented and attentive nature of this breed. The young dog quickly became a cherished playmate for the children and a constant companion in everyday life. In the meantime, a lively group of Bernese Mountain Dogs belongs to the household. In 2006, the family joined the Deutscher Club für Berner Sennenhunde e.V. This was followed by shows and the Körung. The kennel name von den Sandbären was applied for in 2007 and protected nationally by the club and internationally by the F.C.I.
