The von den Havelwiesen dog breeding kennel is based in Birkenwerder on the northern outskirts of Berlin. It is run for the Blue Bay Shepherd and refers to experience with Australian Shepherds: the first female dog of this breed arrived in 2006; since 2022, the Miniature Australian Shepherd has also been mentioned. Since 2008, the kennel has belonged to the VDH and the Club für Australian Shepherd Deutschland e.V. Its breeding goal is healthy, stable-natured and strong-charactered Australian Shepherds that can find their place in sports, as rescue dogs, in the show ring or in families. von den Havelwiesen rejects kennel housing, even if it were intended only temporarily. Future puppy families are to be met at an early stage. Personal contact before the puppies are handed over is therefore particularly important to the kennel.
