Verein für Deutsche Spitze e.V. Gegr. 1899 The von Burg Hilpernstein kennel has been dedicated for 17 years to preserving black and brown Mittelspitz, which are considered threatened with extinction. These are rare colour varieties of the German Spitz. The breeding programme is affiliated with the Verein für Deutsche Spitze e.V., founded in 1899. The dogs live in a small village with about 600 inhabitants. Nearby meadows and forests make regular outings into nature possible. The offspring are raised in the house and garden and thus experience different areas of their everyday surroundings from the very beginning. To familiarise them with further environmental stimuli, the puppies are taken along as often as possible. Among other things, they become acquainted with veterinary practices, railway stations, DIY stores, supermarket car parks and busier roads. Trips by car or motorhome are also prepared for by familiarising the young dogs with dog crates.
