The kennel is affiliated with the Deutscher Teckelklub e.V. and looks back on many years of experience with this Dachshund variety. Health, balanced social behavior, and a family-friendly temperament are the main priorities in selection and rearing. At the same time, vom Steinkreuz takes care to preserve and appropriately consider the hunting instincts typical of the Dachshund in its breeding work. The dogs are firmly integrated into family life and are not kept separately from everyday home life. The puppies also grow up in this family environment. In this way, the kennel combines its many years of involvement with Wirehaired Dachshunds with family-oriented rearing and clearly defined breeding goals.
