Vom Haus Schmitteborn is a family-run breeder of Long-haired German Shepherd Dogs with many years of experience in the SV and a focus on loving rearing.

Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V.

The vom Haus Schmitteborn kennel has been breeding Old German Shepherd Dogs on a small, family-oriented scale since 1978. Loving rearing and a protected home for every dog are the focus. The experience in the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. has existed since 1969; the kennel is also a member of the Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen. According to the kennel, the dogs are suitable as family and protection dogs and are also successfully trained in dog sports. Permanent, good accommodation for the four-legged friends is of particular importance. The kennel remains in contact with many owners after the dogs have been placed. As a rule, there is one litter annually, at most two. Prospective owners can follow the development during visits every two weeks before the puppies leave at nine weeks. At times, the kennel also places young dogs or older dogs and provides advice when taking in a new family member.
