Deutscher Retriever Club e.V. UP2U is a Flat-Coated Retriever kennel in Kaltenkirchen north of Hamburg. The kennel grew out of many years of living with dogs in a family with children. Initially, Newfoundlands and Landseers shaped everyday life; their friendly, affectionate and child-oriented nature remained an important benchmark. With the desire for a more active companion for shared activities, the choice fell on the Flat-Coated Retriever. This breed’s long coat, closeness to the family, cuddliness and joy in spending time with children are particularly appreciated. Dogs from the kennel are also presented at shows and in trials. Since 2013, UP2U has pursued the goal of breeding healthy, even-tempered and willing-to-work Flat-Coated Retrievers. Family life and the needs of children play an essential role in this. UP2U is affiliated with the Deutscher Retriever Club e.V.
