The Tricksters breeding kennel in Lampertheim has been dedicated to the Parson Russell Terrier for more than two decades. After 20 litters in the anniversary year 2024, the focus is not on large litter numbers, but on the careful and long-term preparation of each mating. Repeat matings remain rare. The kennel belongs to the Klub für Terrier von 1894 e.V. The breeding lines predominantly go back to American dogs, whose origins in turn lie in old English lines. The aim is to breed Parsons that, alongside their appearance, possess enthusiasm for work, resilience and a sound temperament. Courage, openness, curiosity, friendliness towards people and a close bond with their caregivers shape the desired breed profile. For the puppies, the kennel is looking for active, consistent and humorous people who enjoy shared activities. Parson Russell Terriers need physical exercise as well as mental challenges and are not dogs for a passive lifestyle. In the kennel’s view, harshness and injustice are not suited to this sensitive yet lively and independent breed.
