DKK opdrætteruddannelse Tarrawangas is a small kennel in Harlev that breeds Australian Kelpie and has approximately one litter per year. The puppies grow up inside the house in a room with an open connection to the living room. Here they come into contact with different people and are stimulated through toys and varied, developmental activities. The goal is healthy, happy and sound sporting dogs with good temperament, a social nature, courage and a desire to train. Bitches and dogs are selected with a focus on these qualities. Dogs from previous litters participate in obedience, tracking, search and rescue, agility, rally and herding training, among other activities. The Kelpie is quick to learn, playful and cooperative, while also needing running, mental occupation and companionship. Tarrawangas is based on experience with dog training since the late 1970s and with Kelpie since 2006. The kennel completed DKK's breeder education and was approved in 2009.
