# Sasja's Dachshund breeder · Denmark

Sasja's breeder of Drever and gives the puppies a homely start with close follow-up, daily experiences and a focus on socialisation.

Sasja's is a Drever kennel. The puppies are born in the living room of the home, where weight, sex, colour and time of birth are recorded. During the first period, the bitch and the litter stay in a smaller area in the bedroom, so they can be kept under close supervision during the early days and weeks. When the bitch is comfortable in her maternal role, and the puppies are developing well, the litter moves during the day to a puppy pen in the kitchen. Here, the puppies are placed centrally in the home and experience the family's daily life. This gives them the opportunity to gradually become accustomed to ordinary sounds as well as to the people and other animals around them. When the weather is suitable, the puppies also have access to a large, fenced garden. Under supervision, they can explore the surroundings and move freely together with the bitch. Sasja's places emphasis on the puppies being well socialised before they move to their new homes, and on their meeting different people in safe surroundings.
