Normally, only one to two litters are planned annually, so each dog can be closely integrated into everyday life. The kennel places emphasis on both health and safe, early socialization of the puppies. The breeding dogs undergo heart scans at a specialist clinic and are examined for patella before being used in breeding, in accordance with applicable regulations. The dogs live together with the kennel in rural surroundings, where they have plenty of space to move around, play and be part of daily life. Everyday life also includes time in the kitchen, car rides and walks in new places. Time is set aside for individual training and walks with each dog, and all the dogs are trained for showing in the ring. Piihl\`s Japanese has DKK breeder education.
