Nihon’s Legend breeds Shikoku in Lutherstadt Eisleben, focusing on health, temperament, genetic diversity, and the Hongawa type.

Nihon’s Legend is a Shikoku breeding establishment in Lutherstadt Eisleben in Mansfeld-Südharz. The small farm was approved as a breeding establishment in 2020 in accordance with the requirements of the Deutscher Club für Nordische Hunde e.V. The FCI-confirmed kennel name is internationally protected. As Germany’s first Shikoku kennel, Nihon’s Legend serves to preserve and promote the breed. The breeding program pays particular attention to health, temperament, a broad gene pool, and the Hongawa type in conformation. Its foundation began with a healthy, typey female of this line. The dogs live in the house, are familiar with cats and small animals, and are not kept in kennels. Before leaving, puppies are well socialized and receive basic equipment. The breeding establishment advises interested parties and owners on all matters concerning taking in a Shikoku and remains available for consultation later on.
