DKK opdrætteruddannelse My Coton is a small Coton de Tuléar breeding program in Melby. Interest in the breed goes back more than twenty years, while the breeding program began with the first dog over nine years ago. Today, four Coton dogs live as an integral part of the family’s everyday life, and their well-being is the highest priority. The aim is to breed healthy, robust and trusting puppies for good homes. They grow up with the ordinary sounds and activities of the home, are introduced to car rides and receive early, daily habituation to handling, coat care, bathing and nail trimming. The breed’s extensive need for coat care is thus naturally incorporated from the start. The breeding program’s two breeding females are approved for breeding following assessment by an international conformation judge and are examined, among other things, with spinal X-rays and eye examinations before mating. The puppies follow DKK and KSS’ breeding recommendations and receive a Basis+-pedigree from DKK. A litter is not expected until 2028. My Coton has completed DKK’s breeder education and also offers coat care through its dog salon.
