Monty Pythons is a dog breeder in Neuss dedicated to the Pug. The focus of the breeding program is on breed-typical characteristics as well as the careful selection of suitable parent dogs. The breeding program follows the guidelines of the VDH and FCI and is affiliated with the Deutscher Mopsclub e.V. Before a mating, the parent dogs are comprehensively examined according to the breeder. This includes an endurance test over one kilometer, during which breathing and the heart are checked, as well as examinations for PDE, patella, and hemivertebrae, and measurement of the trachea. A DNA profile is available for each parent dog and puppy. The puppies grow up in a home environment and become familiar with the usual sounds and routines of everyday life. Monty Pythons places importance on good socialization and supports the dogs’ development in cooperation with veterinarians, the breed association, and the new families. Even after the puppies move out, the breeder remains available to their buyers.
