The Maine Coon cattery Maine Coons of Sweetypies has been based in Meerbusch since June 2015. The wish to breed this breed developed from a long-standing enthusiasm for Maine Coons, which began with the arrival of a first cat. This cat continues to be part of the cattery’s household. As a small hobby cattery, Maine Coons of Sweetypies devotes itself to a manageable cat family. At the time mentioned, five queens and one tom lived there. The cattery deliberately remains small-scale and plans only one to two litters per year. The focus is on the joy of watching the young cats grow up at home and accompanying their development. The kittens are described as lively little furry ones, whose growing up is especially appreciated. At the same time, it becomes clear that the later placement of the young animals is not emotionally easy for the cattery.
