Litters are rarely planned, and the breeding work focuses on breed type, a stable temperament and good health. The kennel follows DKK’s breeding requirements and has DKK breeder training as well as a DKK masterclass. The breeding dogs are approved for breeding and assessed by an experienced judge. When age permits, mental testing, eye examinations, checks for patellar luxation and a back examination for Hansen Type 1 are included. Only dogs with a back status below K4 are used, and the dogs are DNA-tested for hereditary diseases. The puppies meet people, other dogs and small, positive experiences outside the home. They undergo a mini-test at eight weeks and are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated and treated with deworming medication before moving. New owners receive guidance on socialisation, health and coat care, and puppy training near the home is a condition.
