DKK opdrætteruddannelse Langhoff's is a Norwegian Buhund breeding kennel in Hadsund, where the dogs' well-being and everyday life are at the centre. The breeding dogs live as family dogs in the house and also participate in various activities. The kennel has completed DKK's breeder education. The puppies are born in a whelping box next to the breeder's bed and stay there for the first approximately three weeks. They then move to the kitchen with access to the utility room and a large outdoor puppy pen, which is used in all kinds of weather. The adult dogs are also involved in caring for them. At seven weeks old, the puppies undergo a health examination, are microchipped and vaccinated. Before they move, they are introduced to car rides, walking on a lead, and contact with children and adults. The breeding dogs have been shown, X-rayed for HD and examined for eye diseases before breeding, and the same requirements apply to puppies that are later used for breeding.
