Kluck's Castle is a Rhodesian Ridgeback kennel in Nederhorst den Berg, North Holland, between Hilversum and Weesp. Henri and Jolanda breed Rhodesian Ridgebacks together with their family; what was once a hobby has become their main occupation. They breed selectively, focusing on temperament, integrity and health rather than numbers. All breeding dogs are tested for hereditary conditions (including hip and elbow evaluations) and have a pedigree. The adult dogs live in the house with free access to the grounds and meadows. The puppies grow up indoors in a whelping pen with sleeping quarters, with outdoor time in a sheltered puppy run. When they leave, they are microchipped, dewormed, checked by the vet and vaccinated for the first time. They go with a pedigree, health results, food and supplies. Meeting the breeder and the dogs is possible before making a choice; lifelong aftercare is provided.
