Imperial-Shelties runs a small, family-operated Shetland Sheepdog breeding program in Bad Ischl. The focus is on Shelties in the colours Bi-Blue, Tricolour and Blue Merle. The rearing is geared towards close living together in a family environment. The mothers of the puppies are therapy dogs. As a result, during their socialisation, the young dogs also gain impressions from the facilities visited by the females. This allows them to become familiar early on with different situations outside their familiar rearing environment. From puppyhood onwards, the dogs live together with cats, birds and turtles. In addition to varied socialisation, exercise also plays an important role: The Shelties are described as athletic and enjoy being active at the dog training ground doing agility.
