Outside the hunting season, the kennel's hunting dogs participate in trials and occasionally in shows, where they have achieved high awards. Emphasis is placed on providing them with meaningful activities. The aim is well-stimulated and harmonious dogs that can switch from active work to calm at home. Kennel Haugaarden has completed DKK's breeder education. There are also Australian Shepherds at the kennel, but the breed is not included in the breeding programme.
