In Legnaro, in the Padua area, Dos Lunas Kennel is dedicated to the Australian Shepherd and the Miniature American Shepherd. Its activity, recognized by ENCI and FCI and authorized by the USL, began in 1998 out of a passion for the first Australian Shepherds to arrive in Italy with the Quarter Horses. Among the first Italian breeders of the breed, Dos Lunas Kennel began its journey with ASCA pedigrees. After ENCI recognition in 2004, it welcomed the first female from a wholly Italian line, selected for beauty, balanced temperament and aptitude for working with sheep. The breeding dogs are tested for the main hereditary diseases and undergo official X-rays for hip and elbow dysplasia. Selection considers appearance, health and character. The dogs live freely in a family setting, interacting with one another and with the other farm animals, and follow a natural BARF diet.
