# DU DOMAINE DE LA VEYSSIERE Dachshund breeder in Val de Louyre et Caudeau · France

Since my early childhood, I have lived surrounded by dogs.

Since my early childhood, I have lived surrounded by dogs. With a breeder and canine trainer for a father, my path was all mapped out... When I decided to open my own kennel, I wanted to find a small breed, with a pronounced taste for work and a distinctive character. The Dachshund seemed like an obvious choice to me. Since opening Du Domaine de la Veyssière, I have been fulfilled by the love my companions show me, by their loyal, calm and sociable behaviour. The specificity of my kennel also lies in the family environment I provide for it. Indeed, I want to see each of my dogs flourish fully. However, I retain the rigorous aspect of a professional kennel. All my breeding dogs are selected according to various criteria, such as their gentleness, intelligence, sociability, dynamism and, of course, their conformity to the breed standard. A passionate lover of Dachshunds, I wish to promote their natural abilities. These dogs have a very good aptitude for hunting. I therefore take the time to work with them in this discipline in which they excel. I ask my Dachshunds for a certain availability regarding training. They are rustic and enduring by nature, eager to learn and work alongside man For his happiness as well as that of the family, it is my duty as a breeder to offer a puppy that will be suited to the lifestyle of its future owners. That is why a puppy that would show a less developed working ability than the rest of the litter would be placed solely as a companion. Conversely, a puppy showing all the qualities sought in a hunting dog will not be sold to a person wanting a walking companion. As you will have understood, I put my experience and know-how at the service of the “couple” I help to form. Finally, since 2015, I have chosen to specialise solely in breeding WIRE-HAIRED DACHSHUNDS, all colours. These range from black and tan wild boar, to chocolate, including dapple. I also breed Dachshunds of all sizes: kaninchens, miniatures and standards. I will be happy to reply to you as soon as possible! I grew up surrounded by dogs. My father was a breeder and canine trainer for more than 30 years. I therefore opened my own kennel. At my kennel, I care for pedigree dogs such as the Dachshund, the Dutch Shepherd and the Bichon Frise, as well as British shorthairs. It is located in the Dordogne, more precisely in Sainte-Alvère. My objective is to improve the working qualities of my Dutch Shepherds with each generation. The most important characteristic of my kennel is its family aspect, even though I raise my babies with great rigour. It is a great pleasure for me to watch my Dutch Shepherds grow up surrounded by my family and my other companions. To achieve this, we select our breeding dogs very carefully based on their stability, health, working abilities and, most importantly, their lineage, to avoid genetic diseases. For the well-being of all my companions, we carry out limited breeding at my kennel, that is, one litter per year. We respect the breed standard. My puppies will leave my kennel vaccinated, identified and registered with the Lof. Passionate about working dogs, I care for my Dutch Shepherds with great love and professionalism. This love enables me to produce quality puppies that are sociable, balanced and have great working abilities. They will be good companion dogs, good hunting dogs and magnificent show dogs for you.
