The breeding began in 2009 with their first Australian Labradoodle, Maura. The breeding dogs descend from Tegan Park lines. A sensitive line is bred, suitable for families with, for example, ADHD or autism needs; some dogs from these lines work as assistance dogs. All breeding dogs are screened for hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation and eyes (ECVO), plus DNA tests such as EIC and DM. The puppies grow up in the house, among ordinary sounds and other pets, and not in a kennel. At seven weeks, a certified behavioural expert conducts a temperament test; the breeder matches the puppies to families based on character. At eight weeks, the veterinarian takes care of the microchip, vaccinations and passport. The breeders are certified through Bazoeki, an independent quality platform with personal inspections, and deliberately not affiliated with a breed association.
