Roberto is the breeder of Leggenda del Castello di Monte Acuto and has been breeding dogs since he was very young; the official affix dates back to 1999. The kennel is located in the open countryside in Treia, in the province of Macerata, at the foot of Monte Pitino and Monte Acuto. It is recognized by ENCI and FCI, and the breeder is a board member of the specialized association for shepherd breeds (AIPR) and was the contact person for Asian breeds. For many years, he has devoted himself exclusively to the Caucasian Shepherd Dog, with some dogs imported directly from the country of origin in the 1990s. The stated commitment is to select also from a temperament standpoint, with health and quality of character as priorities; the dogs take part in official temperament tests. The breeder states that he rejects many requests, carefully choosing the families to whom to entrust the puppies.
