As a breeding partnership, it is run by two generations and is based in the Ruhr region, shaped by mining. Its kennel name has been protected with the VDH and the FCI since 1991. The aim of the breeding programme is to preserve and expand the genetic diversity of this breed. It focuses on healthy, family-suitable dogs with good character traits. The dogs live in the house as full-fledged family members and have access to the garden. For over 35 years, the kennel has been involved in dog sports. Companion dog tests as well as agility, competitive dog sports, obedience and tracking are part of the activities. In 2020, one dog received recognition as an assistance dog for people with disabilities.
