DKK opdrætteruddannelse Coton Nigella's is a small home-based breeding program of Coton de Tuléar in Herning. Since 2015, the breeding program has focused on breeding healthy, breed-typical, trusting and mentally strong puppies. The breeder has completed DKK's breeder education, and the kennel name was obtained in 2021. The dogs are carefully selected for breeding and DNA-tested for the breed's known diseases. The breeding follows DKK's and KSS's recommendations, and the puppies receive a DKK Basis Plus pedigree. The puppies grow up close to the family and the kennel's other dogs, where they meet people, children and various animals. From an early age, the puppies become accustomed to handling, car rides and impressions outside the home. They are also introduced to everyday sounds, including household appliances, music, thunder and fireworks. Coton Nigella's places emphasis on a suitable match between puppy and home and offers continued guidance, including on coat care.
