The Cattery von der Öfingerhöh is a hobby cattery for cats in Bad Dürrheim, in the district of Öfingen. Located at an altitude of more than 900 metres, the cattery lies between the Black Forest and the Swabian Jura. Since 2015, it has been dedicated to Siberian Cats and Neva Masquerade; it also breeds the Napoléon, or Minuet, breed. The original, robust type of the Siberian Cat and the Neva Masquerade is the focus. The cattery aims to preserve the characteristic individuality of these cats and places importance on maintaining their natural appearance. No other cat breeds are crossed in to alter specific coat colours. In particular, the cattery refrains from crossbreeding with the aim of producing colours such as Chocolate, Lilac, Cinnamon or Fawn. In this way, the cattery follows an approach that places the originality and resilience of the breeds at the forefront.
