The distinctive character of this dog is particularly central: the American Akita is described by the breeder as exceptionally loyal, tough and independent. On 18 November 2025, a litter of eight puppies was born at the breeder’s. Both parents participate in dog shows. They have also been examined for hereditary conditions in accordance with the requirements of the breed association and approved within that framework. Clear results are listed for HD, ED and ECVO for both parents. At the time of the announcement, five puppies from the litter were still available. The kennel is located in Tjerkwerd and has certification from the Raad van Beheer.
