FIFe affiliated18 years of experience Betulla di Freya is a hobby Maine Coon cattery in Emilia-Romagna, run by Patrizia together with her family. It has been registered with ANFI-FIFe since 2008. The adventure began after the loss of a much-loved cat: the family discovered the Maine Coon, took part in its first show with its first female cat, Sophie, who obtained a CAC, and then started the cattery. The cats live in the house and have access to a small garden; they also live with a mixed-breed dog and follow the family members throughout the house. The breeding cats undergo echocardiography and genetic testing for HCM at the Vetogene laboratory in Milan, as well as testing for FIV and FeLV. Health checks also concern the grandparents and great-grandparents of the cats used for breeding.
