The Babelsbergi kennel in Straßhof is dedicated to Golden Retrievers. On 19 March 2015, a litter of eleven puppies in total was born there, including six males and five females. At the time of the announcement, not all of the young animals had yet been placed in a new home. At Babelsbergi, the puppies are born in the house and grow up in this domestic environment during their first eight weeks of life. From the beginning of the fourth week of life, they also have access to an exercise area in the garden, where they can gather different impressions. The rearing follows the guidelines of the Österreichischen Retriever Clubs. Health care includes deworming several times, a veterinary examination and the prescribed vaccinations. In this way, the kennel combines rearing in the house with early experiences in the garden.
