The breeding goal follows the breed standard and combines health, athletic aptitude, versatility, eagerness to learn and a harmonious appearance. More than 150 puppies have been born there to date. The kennel belongs to the Rassezuchtverein für Hovawart-Hunde e.V. The puppies initially grow up in the house and then explore other areas of everyday life, including the garden, outbuildings, car journeys and short outings. From an early age, they are gently accustomed to grooming activities such as brushing, drying off and checking their ears and teeth. Encounters with different people, children and other impressions complement their socialisation. Former dogs from the kennel were successful both in dog sports and at shows. The rearing is intended to give the puppies a solid foundation for their future lives in responsible families. Even after moving, the kennel continues to advise families on the dogs’ development; many families have already taken in several Hovawarts from aus dem Emsland.
