HISTORY ANABI was founded by Marie-Anne Taranger, an international feline judge, in 1984, and she remained its president until her premature death in October 2000. ANABI is a “Loi 1901” association founded in 1984 to bring together enthusiasts of a breed that was rare at the time, and to promote knowledge of and improvement of the breed. ROLE Far from partisan clubs, ANABI brings together around one hundred members from all walks of life, sharing a love of Birmans. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the “classic” Seal and Blue, or passionate about Red, tabby, Silver or Smoke, you will receive a warm welcome at ANABI. Every year, the general meeting reports on the activities of the past year and discusses the subjects presented by each member. A “Charivari” newsletter is regularly distributed to members. In it, they find articles on genetics, breeding, the results of Birman shows and profiles of members.
