Governing Council of the Cat Fancy n° 0448 AbyFabylous is a breeder of Abyssinian cats in the UK, run by an individual breeder registered with the GCCF and on the GCCF Breeder Scheme. Her interest in the breed began in the 1970s, and she acquired her first Abyssinian kittens in the mid-1980s. Today's cats come from pedigree lines descending from those original cats and are bred with as low a coefficient of inbreeding as possible. The lines include Annera Undine, Bastis Ashanto, Calderon Yasmina and Calderon Yuan. Kittens are registered with the GCCF with a five-generation pedigree and have two vaccinations against cat flu, enteritis and feline leukaemia, at nine and twelve weeks. They are wormed at two, five, eight and eleven weeks and are microchipped, with the chip registered on Petlog, when they are neutered at around fourteen weeks. They usually leave ten to fourteen days later, once the vet has cleared them to travel, with five weeks of insurance, food, litter and bedding that smells familiar. The breeder gives ongoing support after adoption.
