Internationaler Klub für Tibetische Hunderassen e.V. The A-lei-Shari kennel in Kevelaer is dedicated to breeding Tibetan Terriers. It belongs to the International Club for Tibetan Dog Breeds e.V. (KTR) and is therefore also affiliated with the VDH and FCI. The KTR’s guidelines are authoritative for the breeding work. The careful selection of breeding dogs is the main focus. These are examined for patellar luxation, hip dysplasia, CCL and PLL. Before a dog is approved for breeding, it undergoes a breed suitability examination before a judge responsible for this. When planning matings, the kennel also takes into account the aim of avoiding hereditary diseases as far as possible. The puppies grow up in a home environment with a garden together with the adult dogs. In doing so, they gain early impressions of various situations in everyday life and encounters with different people. Even after they move out, the kennel supports the new families with advice, particularly with questions about caring for the long coat.
